2007 marks the 150th Anniversary of the first Russian postage stamp. "Virtual Stamps" is a series of short film animations made to commemorate this historic event. The technology of our age has supplanted many of the traditional means of global communication with the advent of e-mail. As a reflection of the transition from the literal to the virtual, the artist has created "Virtual Stamps". This series of artistamps uses animated photographs to bring the traditional postage stamp into the post-modern age of digital virtuality.
